What happens to your data

The website, extension, and shared library have different roles. Here is what each uses.

Public Instagram content

The extension requests public creator profiles and Reels when you choose a creator. This can include handles, captions, thumbnails, video URLs, dates, and available engagement counts. It does not request your Instagram password or use a cookies permission.

Local libraries

Collected libraries, preferences, and recent creators are saved in your browser. The extension’s Storage screen lets you delete local libraries. Deleting a local library does not delete a previously contributed copy in the shared service. Uninstalling the extension removes its local storage.

Shared catalogs

The current extension contributes collected public catalog metadata to the shared backend. Cloud transcripts are stored there, and requesting AI analysis also sends the relevant transcripts to the backend. These shared catalogs can be read by other users. A local transcript is not uploaded merely by being transcribed on-device.

Audio and AI processing

Cloud transcription sends a Reel’s audio through the backend to Groq. On-device transcription downloads model files from Hugging Face and processes audio in your browser. If you explicitly configure your own Groq key, that key is kept in extension storage and used for direct requests to Groq. AI Playbook generation sends transcripts to Groq through the backend.

Product sign-in

Google sign-in supplies your Google account identifier and, when available, email, name, and profile picture. The backend stores account details and issues a session token. The token is stored in the website and bridged to the extension on the Intelli-Reel site. This is separate from Instagram sign-in.

Requests and service providers

The backend uses Cloudflare. Network requests necessarily expose an IP address and request metadata to the receiving service. An anonymous device identifier and account identity are used for access and usage limits. This product is not affiliated with Instagram or Meta.

Before a public release

A public release must include a verified contact and data-deletion process, retention periods, and a live privacy policy matching the published extension. This page describes the current implementation; the store listing is still being prepared.
