Help with your research library
A clear next step when something gets in the way.
Where do I start?
Set up the Chrome extension on a computer, open it from the toolbar, and paste a creator’s Instagram handle or profile link. Start with a small batch. Keep the workspace tab open until collection or transcription finishes.
The website can’t find a creator
The web library reads catalogs already shared with the service. A creator who isn’t there needs to be collected in the extension first. A service connection error is different from an empty catalog: use Retry, or continue with your saved library in the extension.
Instagram is limiting or blocking access
Public visibility does not guarantee automated access. If the extension reports a limit, wait before trying again. Private accounts and restricted content cannot be collected. Keep any partial results; do not repeatedly restart collection.
Sign-in completed. How do I return?
Use Return to extension on the sign-in completion page, or switch back to your open extension workspace. Choose Transcribe again. Your creator and selected Reels stay in that workspace.
Transcription is slow or fails
On-device transcription may need a large model download and a compatible graphics processor. Keep the tab open. Try one short Reel first and select its spoken language. A video with no clear speech may not produce a usable transcript. You can stop a batch after the current Reel.
My transcript or metrics look wrong
Automatic transcripts can mishear speech, especially music, accents, or mixed languages. Check the original Reel before using a quote. Metrics reflect the last collection, not live counts; unavailable metrics are not zero.
Where is my work saved?
The extension saves libraries in this browser. They are not automatically backed up to your Google account. Clearing extension data or uninstalling removes local libraries. Shared public catalogs are a separate copy. Use Storage in the extension to manage local libraries.
